OUR WORK

Partnering with House Cabernet offers opportunities for revenue growth, operational improvement, and market expansion.

Windsor Kittens
House Cabernet partnered with the East Charlotte non-profit to craft and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy tailored for their Spring Brunch fundraising event. This collaboration was aimed at enhancing visibility, increasing community engagement, and laying groundwork for lasting relationships with sponsors.

House Cabernet has been a huge unlock for us! We’re a small (but mighty) non-profit based in East Charlotte — and while we’ve been gaining momentum from our grassroots beginning, we needed some help taking our branding and outreach to a new level. In particular, one of our goal’s this year is to capitalize on recurring donors and secure grants. Thanks to Lauren’s expertise and hands-on approach, we have been able to formalize our fundraisers, solicit sponsors with package benefits, and now have the toolset to apply for grants with greater confidence. (And we’ve already even applied for one and have our eyes set on several more.) We look forward to working more with House Cabernet to strategically help us make a larger impact on the cats and community we serve!

ABOUT LAUREN

Lauren Biggers brings a wealth of experience across communications, marketing, special events, and fundraising strategy to House Cabernet. With nearly 20 years of experience at nonprofits, colleges and universities, and sports teams, she works alongside mission-driven brands to help them achieve their marketing and revenue goals. Lauren co-founded the nonprofit Access to Success, and most recently, worked at Room to Grow in New York City.  Lauren is excited to bring new energy and ideas and partner with small business and growing nonprofits already doing impactful and inspiring work.

“I believe wholly in a world where everyone deserves an equitable shot, and for the past 20 years, I have worked across the nonprofit and higher education sectors to make even the smallest difference in the world. I would be honored to leverage my experience to help you find and build your community.”

At Room to Grow, Lauren oversaw all aspects of development for the New York City region and eventually, managed corporate, foundation and government relations across the organization’s Boston, New York, Chicago and National regions. Before joining the team at Room to Grow, she developed programming for the New York State Society’s more than 20,000 members, working closely with the board to establish a non-profit scholarship fund with the goal of increasing minority representation within the accounting profession. This role built on the skills that she acquired in the alumni office at Davidson College, where she executed hundreds of annual events, working closely with volunteers to create a sense of community beyond campus.

Lauren worked in public relations for several college and professional sports teams at the start of her career. Her journalism background translated well to producing content for Davidson’s social media and the athletic department’s website, and her tenure in the sports information office was exciting — highlighted by a run to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight and navigating the national media blitz that made Stephen Curry a star. At the dawn of social media, she created the department’s first Twitter and Facebook accounts, and ran a blog to give alumni and fans a behind-the-scenes look at it all. In this role, Lauren first learned about building trusting relationships with student-athletes, alumni, and members of the media to accomplish a shared purpose.

Lauren lives in Concord, N.C. with her husband, young daughter, mom and four cats, proudly adopted from Windsor Kittens. She is an avid yogi, an aspiring gardener, and a wannabe DIYer. Most days you’ll catch her burning a candle, scrolling TikTok, and listening to Taylor Swift.
